I have my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arizona in 2010. This included training in assessment, therapy, teaching, and clinical research. Throughout and since my training I have worked with people of all ages and families and couples with a wide range of concerns and in many settings. These include medical clinics, inpatient hospitals including the Tucson VA, state prison, and youth programs. Also, I am a former Adjunct Professor at the University of Arizona (and before that as a Graduate Student Instructor) and I have taught many psychology classes including Introductory Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Human Sexuality and Personality Psychology. In my free time I enjoy photography, road trips, street tacos, listening to a wide range of music, reading (mostly nerdy non-fiction), and quality time with family and friends.

I am certified with the Unified Protocol Institute, in which we utilize an empirically supported “state of the science” approach to doing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in with my work -this approach also has tremendous empirical support. Therapy will always be carefully individualized specifically for you and your needs.

In addition, as a former Adjunct Professor at the University of Arizona (and before that as a Graduate Student Instructor), I have taught a number of psychology courses including Clinical Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Human Sexuality, Child Abuse and Neglect, Personality Psychology, and Introductory Psychology.

Additionally, I hold membership with the Southern Arizona Psychological Association, Arizona Psychological Association, and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapists.

I am licensed by the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners (License # PSY-004542).

I moved to Tucson forever ago for college and immediately fell in love with the Sonoran Desert and all it has to offer. In my free time I enjoy photography, road-trips, street tacos, listening to a wide range of music, reading (mostly nerdy non-fiction), and quality time with family and friends.
